This is a very thoughtful site containing extensive information about flags and vexillology. The flag images are accessible via text links to individual countries, via search engines, via bibliographic sources, or by way of a clickable image map. The flag depicted in the image above is Antarctica.

World Flags and State Flags from 3D Flags

This site offers animated 3D waving flags of countries and of U.S. states. At the time of our visit, the images were free to use as long as the use is accompanied by credit and a reciprocal link. These are nice, high-quality waving flag animations.
